IRON GUARD CONSPIRACY

The War Minister publishes a letter, which formulates a plan to assassinate 200 political leaders, including members of the Cabinet. M. Stelescu demurred, but he himself was assassinated by M. Codreanu’s followers. Arrests continue, after the discovery of further arms dumps. MANY PRIESTS ARRESTED. (Received April 21, 2 p.m.) LONDON, April 20. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Bucharest correspondent says that 200 priests are among those arrested in connection with the Iron Guard conspiracy. Both the vicar and curate, of one Bucharest church are included, causing the cancellation of Easter services. Many junior army officers are also imprisoned. ' Military and civilian lawyers are working as speedily as possible to expedite the trials. It is hoped that, many will be completed before the week-end.
