As Jorga was then a member of the Cabinet, the defence is that it was not an insult to Jorga as a Cabinet Minister, but in his capacity as a journalist, regarding his articles attacking the Iron Guard, in the newspaper he owned. Codreanu will later be charged with subversive activities. —LATER. Codreanu was* sentenced to six months’ imprisonment, and was also fined £3.
