WEDDING

BEST—DUNN The wedding- took place at the Salvation Army Hall, yesterday afternoon, of Miss Myrtle Dunn, eldest daughter of Mr. Andrew Dunn, Granity, and niece of Mrs. T. Leach and the late Mr. Leach, of Blaketown, to James Best, son of Mrs. Best, Herbert Street, Greymouth. Major Knight, of Christchurch, officiated. The Hall was decorated in lemon and blue. The bride wore a. full Salvation Army uniform, with white sash and orange blossoms. She carried a. sheaf bouquet of lilies and roses. The two bridesmaids, sisters of the bride and bridegroom respectively, also wore uniforms, with lemon sashes, and carried sheaf bouquets of chrysanthemums and lilies. The flower girls were Gladys Matheson, cousin of the bride, and Betty Tones, niece of the bridegroom, and they wore frocks of

pale blue georgette and carried posies of marigolds and cornflowers. Mr. R. .Johnson was best man and Mr. J. Smeaton was groomsman.

The reception was held at the Municipal Band Hall. The bride’s aunt, Mrs. Leach, wore a Salvation Army uniform, and carried a posy of red carnations and gladioli. The bridegroom’s mother wore a frock of navy marocain, and carried a posy of pink carnations.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Best left by today's express for Christchurch, the bride travelling in a brown marocain frock, under a coat of the same shade, and accessories to tone.
