EX-P RE MI ER ’ S ST AT EM EN T. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] CAIRO, December 31. Egypt remains calm after the change of Government. Nahas Pasha, the former Prime Minister, made the' following statement: “I will continue the struggle for this unhappy nation until the will of God be dome. I thank God for the restoration of health, permitting me to begin the struggle, and 1 will carry .it on until the last moment of my life.’ ITALIAN' PROPAGANDA. ROME, January 1. In an attack on Nahas Pasha, “La Stanipa” says: “King Farouk has restored'. the prestige of the Moslem elite, which has suffered, from the assault of the Coptic and Jewish groups, which have always been ready to line up in the .s’ervice of British Imperialism. The present leaders of the Wafd have discredited themselves with the Egyptian masses by a policy of subservience to Great Britain. A new horizon of understanding and peace opens for Italian-Egyptian relations. We have several timesi held out our hand for an agreement, but Nahas Pasha, under orders from London, always refused the offer of friendship.” King Farouk has issued a decree suspending Parliament for a month.
