The men will be drawn from I th.* registered unemployed and will lhe rotated each four months. At the I expiration of that period. Lhe men who 'have been on full-time will go back lon relief, if no other employment is i a vailable, without having to undergo '.he stand-down period. The men as far as possible will be employed through local bodies- doing useful work. Il is the Government’s desire !to take as many men as possible off sustenance on to work of local and national value.” A CORRECTION. The Christchurch ‘Tresis” publishes the following in to-day’s issue: --The name of William Cosgriff was printed in error yesterday morning in the report of Magistrate’s Court proceedings. The charge was that of obtaining money from the Labour Dept; :ment. Unemployment Division. No such charge, nor any other charge, w-.w made against Mr William Cosgriff. The real defendant bore a similar, but not identical name. We much -.aglet the error, and ol'f.-r our apologies io Mr Cosgriff. As rhe'report was reprinted in the “Ptar,” wo also express our regret, and apology.
