LONDON'S GREEN BELT RUGBY, June 19. Another 550 acres, mainly woodlands in Hertfordshire, and riverside meadows in Surrey, are being added to the so-called “green belt’’ round London. At a meeting on Tuesday, the London County Council will be recommended to make contributions totalling £12,800 towards the cost of acquiring these lands. CANADIAN DROUGHT OTTAWA, June 20. The Meat Control Board decided upon the experimental export of thirty-six thousand mutton and sheep for the London market, at. the rate of three thousand weekly, beginning as soon as shipping space is available. The main reason is overstocking. TRADE AGREEMENT RUGBY, June 21. In the Commons, the President of the Board of Trade expressed the appreciation of the British Government at the action of the Netherlands and Belgian Governments in extending to Britain, the advantages of the new Oslo agreement.
