WEDDING

BERRY—FINNERTY.

The wedding iwas solemnised at St. Patrick’s Church, Greymquth, this afternoon, of Alice, youngest daughter of Mrs E. Finnerty, of Ross, and formerly of Westport, and Eric, second son of Mr and Mrs W. Berry, of Hari Harl. Rev. Father P. Joyce, of Ross, officiated.

The bride, who was escorted by her uncle, Mr E. Kirby, of Hari Hari, wore a, frock of blue taffeta, with full puffed sleeves, and a long full skirt trimmed with wide bands of similar material. She wore a lame hat, trimmed with pink and blue flowers, and a three-tier string of pearls, the gift of the bridegroom, long white gloves, silver shoes, and she carried a white shower bouquet of chrysanthemums.

The bride was attended by Miss Pearl Crabb, of Wellington, who was attired in a long frock of apricot cloque, with bolero, long tightfitting sleeves, a blue hat, and shoes to match. She carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums.

Little Florrie Fairhall, of Ross, a niece of the bride, attended as flower girl, and wore a pale pink georgette ankle-length frock, and a halo of pink and blue rosebuds. She carried a small posy of flowers. John Robertson, nephew of the bride, was pageboy, and he was attired in a pale pink satin suit, trimmed' with ecru lace. Mr Gordon Berry, of Harihari, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The reception was later held at Herb. Moore’s, where the bride's mother received the guests, wearing a navy tailored costume, with hat and shoes to tone. She carried a bouquet of aytumn flowers. Mrs Berry, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a black and white ensemble, with hat and shoes to tone. Mr and Mrs E. Berry, who will reside at Wataroa, will leave by the rail car for Christchurch, and the North Island, the bride travelling in a model frock, trimmed with astrachan, with a. short fur doat, and hat and shoes to tone.
