Teams of Reefton ladies’ and men’s teams visited Westport over the weekend and played matches against Westport club members yesterday. In their challenge for the Dalgleish Shield, Reefton were unsuccessful, the trophy being won by the Westport B team with a score of 334 to the A team’s 33G. The best card returned was a fine 79 by H. Lovell of the A •team. Scores were: —

MISS PAM BARTON LONDON, June IS. The “Dally Mail" says that. Miss Pam Barton has received a letter from the Royal and Ancient. Golf Club threatening her with the loss of her amateur status if she is remunerated for a book entitled “A Stroke a Hole,’’ which is being published shortly. Miss Barton says that before she started the book, the chairman of the ‘Ladies' Golf Union said it was all right.
