Municipal Court Judge John O’Neill, aged 60, long prominent in public life, was stabbed and critically wounded by an unknown assailant, who escaped. O’Neill was standing in a street waiting for a ’bus. He walked to the hospital and collapsed. The police believe it is possible that a disgruntled litigant was responsible.
