HOKITIKA NOTES

HOKITIKA, April 27.
A well-attended meeting was held in St. Andrew’s Hall last evening for the purpose of considering the formation of a gymnastic club. Dr. B. L. Wilson presided and explained the objects of such a club and the organisation. Rev. M. Feist also made some suggestions as to grouping classes. It was decided to form a club, to be known as the Hokitika Gymnastic Club, and the election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr G. A. Perry; president ,Dr. B. L. Wilson; vice-presidents, Miss Ann P. Duff, E. M. Best, Rev. Allan Carr, Rev. M. Feist, Mr A. J. Thompson; secretarytreasurer, Mr T. Lee; committee, all officers, with Miss J. Stevenson, Mr George D,elbridge, Jules Butland. Miss D. McWhirter. It was decided to send letters of appreciation to G. and D. Davidson Ltd., G. Cederman, and Mr J. Stewart for preparing some of the apparatus. A subsequent meeting of the commitee was held to determine the subscription and other matters.
