AUSTRALIANS AT PRACTICE. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] MEXICO CITY. April 25. A. K. Quist defeated J. Bromwich, 1-6, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4, before crowded galleries, when members of the Australian Davis Cup team held a practice. Quist started wildly with many doubles and netted shots. He then settled down and took the second set easily. The third and fourth sets were hard-fought, with frequent deuces. The physician hopes to decide tomorrow whether to lance V. B. McGrath’s thumb, in which an abscess has recurred. FRENCH REPRESENTATIVES. (Received April 27, 11 a.m.) PARIS, April 26. The following Davis Cup players have been chosen to represent France against.
