WAR ON COMMUNISM
CAMPAIGN IN QUEBEC [BY CABLE PRESS ASSN.—COPYRIGHT.] QUEBEC, March 12. An appeal to all provinces to join in the fight against Communism was issued in the Legislature by the Premier (Mr. M. Duplessis)-, who said: ‘‘The best Svay to fight Communism is to get rid of the Communists. Why does not Ottawa, which has the power to deport, them, do it? We have, done everything we can against Communism, It is up to Ottawa to support our efforts.” The Quebec province will refuse to accept Communist election candidates. will padlock Communist halls, and send police to break up Communist meetings and disperse agitators. Special legislation will be introduced this session.
