NEW ZEALAND EMBARGO. [BY CABLE —PBEBS ASSN.—COPYBIGHT.] LONDON, '.February 27. After his return frdiri, -Birmingham, the New Zealand Minister for Finance (Hon. W. Nash) conferred with the Minister for Agriculture (Mr. W. S. Morrison) about the New Zealand embargo on British livestock. He; expressed the opinion that, if stocfe-gpuld be completely safeguarded againrit the possibility of infection the New-Zea-land Government would be» sympathetic towards lifting the embargo/TV Later, Mr. Nash had further discussions with British Ministers'oh. imports of meat and New Zealand's trade policy.
Last Wednesday he met. representatives of firms underwriting -risks, for the handling and sea-carrying of ’New Zealand produce. Mr. Nash .discussed trade on Thursday with the South Rhodesian High Commissioner (Mr. S. M. L, O’Keefe), and afterwards with Lord Colwyn, who is interested in cotton and other industries. On. Friday Mr. Nash addressed two meetings at Oxford on New Zealand's policy.
