SYDNEY WOOL SALES.

SYDNEY, February 15.
At the wool sales 12,925 hales were offered, 11,250 were sold at auction, and 1080 privately. There was good competition for free, well-grown wools, prices for which were about on a par with last week’s closing levels. The market otherwise was from par to 5 per cent, lower. Chief support came from Japan and Yorkshire. Greasy merino sold to The average price last week was £22 12/7 a bale, or 18.9 per lb. STOCKS AND SHARES. CHRISTCHURCH, February 16.
