MR BIGNELL RE-ELECTED. As the result of the election for a representative of the North-West Ward (Westland), on the Canterbury Education Board, the sitting member, Mr 11. .1. Bignell, has been re-elected, by a substantial majority. Voting was confined to members of school committees. Mr Bignell was opposed’ by Messrs A. 11. McKane and A. E. Morgan. The voting was as follows; H. J. Bignell 274 A. 11. McKane 145 A. E. Morgan 52 Majority for Bignell . . 77
