MONTHLY MEETING A meeting of the Nelson Land Board was held on Thursday. Present: Mr. A. F. Waters, Commissioner of Crown Lands (chairman),’and Messrs A. R. Edwards. J. O’Regan, W. Blackadder and F. W. Gibbs. Applications for Land: Section 10, Block VIII, Burnett Survey District, <S acres and 25 acres (approx.) of Section 7, Block VIII, Burnett Survey District. Applicant—D. W. Thomson. — Resolved to grant an Occupation License over Section 10 and Part Section 7 at an annual rental of £l/15/-. Area of. 15 acres on sea shore north pf Section 6, Block .1, Steeples Survey District. Applicant, Mrs. Georgine Gibson.—Application by Mr. M. D. Duncan for reconsideration of Board’s decision. Consideration of Mrs. Gibson’s application deferred and in the case of Mr. Duncan, resolved to adhere to previous resolution.
-Increase in Area: Area of 112 acres in Block L, Tutaki Survey District. Applicant, D. O’Rourke. —Adjourned until qrregrs are paid. Applications for Timber Cutting Licenses: Part Section 23, Block IL. Waitakere Survey District. Area 50 acres. Applicants: J. J. McCann and H. D. Dobson.—Resolved to grant a timber cutting license for ■ twelve months at the State Forest royalty rates. Part Sections 25, 26, 29 and
30, Block 111., Steeples Survey District 80 acres. Applicant—Bowater and Bryan Ltd.—Resolved to grant a timber cutting license for a period of twelve months at the forest service royalty ra|ps. JSpcLiop JI, Block 1., Inangahua Survey District, A rent 329 acres. Applicant: Cfeck Sawmills Ltd. —Resolved jib a.sfc applicants to deposit cost of appraisement £lO. Cancellation: Secjtjop 6, Towij of BUckspoint. Area 1j.3 p.ferpbes. WNicholls. —Resolved to cancel license.
