RUSSELL v. BLOMFIELD. [per press association.] DANNEVIRKE, May 29. In a hurricane start, Rebel Russell obtained a fall from Blomfield, in under a minute of the opening round in the Town Hall, before a packed house. Russell knocked Lofty off his feet with a shoulder charge, hit him on the jaw with a fierce elbow jolt,

smacked him hard in the face, and with three vicious dumps made Blomfield very groggy, and gained a sensational fall. From then onwards, the struggle was very dour. Not till the end. of the seventh did' Blomfield equalise with a hard dump, after some effective jolting. There were no further falls, and the match was drawn.
