OUTLINE OF PROGRAMME. [BY CABLE —PRESS assn. —COPYRIGHT.] (Received May 7, 8 a.m.) SYDNEY, May 6. The full programme and conditions of entry for the Empire Games, at Sydney, in February, 1938, were announced to-night. The summary is as follows: — Athletics: Individual events, four competitors per country. Team events, one team with twice the number in the team as reserves.

1 Boxing: One competitor per country. Cycling: One entry per country for each event. Swimming: Individual events, three competitors per country. Team events, one team per country. Wrestling: One competitor per country for each event. Athletics: Track-and field events for men include, 100, 200, 440 and 880 yards, one mile, three miles, six miles marathon, two miles steeplechase, 120 and 440 yards hurdles, high and long jumps, hop, step and jump, pole valt, throwing the javelin and discus, putting 161 b. shot, and throwing 161 b. hammer. Relays, 440 yards and one mile. Boxing covers flyweight, bantam, welter, middle, and light heavyweight contests. Cycling: 1,000 yards sprint, 1,000 metres, time trial, ten miles scratch, 100 kilometres road race. There will be the customary contests for women runners and athletes; also bowling events, singles, pairs and rink tournaments. Swimming: Events for men and women cover all the usual distances for men and women, and all styles of swimming, and also diving contests.

N.Z. OLYMPIC TEAM. WELLINGTON, May 7. Owing to the departure of the Wanganella for Sydney being postponed, the Olympic team is not leaving till tomorrow. The New Zealanders will join the Australian team at Sydney, and from there to Marseilles will be really under the wing of the Australian manager. Send-offs were extended last night by the New Zealand Olympic Council, and the Council of thf Boxing Association also met the boxers and wished them a safe and successful trip. The team travels by the Mongolia, leaving Sydney on May 13.
