OPENING OF SEASON The 1936 Rugby season will commence to-morrow with two senior games at Rugby Park, and one at Cass Square, Hokitika. Excelsiors meet Star at Hokitika. "Blaketown -v. Kiwis is the; main atraction at the Park, but the reappearance of Mike Gilbert (All Black), will no doubt add interest to the encounter ibetween Cobden and United. Gilbert himself is fifty per cent, better player than -when he last played on the -Coast. His running has been sharpened up, and his body balance, footwork, and groundwork have improved -wonderfully. Two good cur-tain-raisers will keep Tans interested. The Rugby (Union this year made available double tickets -for Club games during the season, -which will mean a considerable saving to regular patrons.
