HOMELAND PROPOSALS. (BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.] RUGBY, March 12. At an influential meeting at the Mansion House, convened by the Lord Mayor of London, at the request of the Prime Minister, it yas decided that the memorial to King George should take the form of a statue of His Late Majesty, in London, in some noble setting; and a philanthropic scheme of a specific character, which would benefit the whole country, to be associated with His Majesty’s name.
