The Egyptian Government is negotiatiing with the Suez Canal Company in order to secure that Egyptians shall be nominated to the Board, on which, at present, there is no Egyptian director. Egypt is also urging :hat a greater percentage of Egyptians on'the staff, which is now almost exclusively French. There is every hope of an early agreement. JELLICOE HEIRLOOMS. RUGBY, February 10. Earl Jellicoe bequeathed his flag flown at the Battle of Jutland, and his decorations, swords of honour, and other articles, as heirlooms, to follow the title. GERMAN BARTER LONDON, February 11. Dudley Ackroyd, presiding at the Bradford Chamber of Commerce, described the wool barter agreements as a menace to trade, and especially serious in -the case of Germany, whose agreement with South Africa has been renewed, while similar agreements were made with South America and certain European countries. Germany’s trade was assisted by currency manipulations, amounting to export subsidy. There were complaints in many quarters that Germah" goods were offered in those markets below the works cost.
