SIR JAMES JEANS’S FIANCEE
■‘LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.” VIENNA, September 27. Fraulein Susi Hock, the 24-year-old Viennese girl who is to marry Sir James Jeans, the astronomer, _ is' already well known both in Austria, and in many other countries as a musician. She is a talented organiser, and met Sir James lasUJune while on her second concert tour in England. “It all happened at whirlwind speed,” she said this evening. “We fell in love almost instantly. I had, however, to leave England in July, but after almost three months’ separation Sir James Jeans suddenly turned up in Vienna a week ago. He proposed to me and I accepted. “I am looking forward to living in England,” Fraulein Hock added. “I shall not give up my music. On the contrary, I hope Io learn more in England.” Fraulein Hock is the daughter of
Herr Oscar Hock, director of a paper factory. ( Sir James Jeans who is 58, was left a widower last year.
