Captain and Mrs Saunders, of the Salvation Army, who have been located at Westport for the past three years, are under notice of transfer to Australia.
Tho death occurred yesterday .at the Buller Hospital, af Mrs Green, the wife of Mr A. J. Green. Deceased, who was 56 years of age, had resided for 26 years at Westport. •
The death has occurred of Mr. H. S. Ferguson, who was a school teacher. He was 60 years - of age, and had taught in the provinces of Taranaki. Auckland, Wellington, and Caniterbury.—Press Assn.
Mr G. Anderson left this morning, A for Christchurch, to take a position in the Railways Department. He was met yesterday, by the staff and management of Shannon and Glen, and presented with a fountain pen by his fellow employees, and with a cheque by the management. Complimentary references to his work and popularity were made by Messrs A. Shannon and A. Glen, and J. O’Connor (on behalf of the staff), all wishing him the best of luck.
