RIFLE SHOOTING
GREY LADIES’ CLUB. The first shoot of the second competition was fired off by members of the Grey Ladies’ Miniature Rifle Club last evening. Miss N. Hamilton won the hotty button with a score of 68. The following were the scores.
• TISDALL CUP. ■ 11 • I • WELLINGTON, May 30. Forty-eight teams entered the competition for the Sydney Tisdall Cup postal match, shot under the auspices of the New Zealand miniature Rifle Association. There was keen competition, twenty-one possibles being registered. The conditions were teams of five and ten shots each. Christchurch Workingmen’s Club, No. 2, by scoring 496 out of a possible of 500, won from Pleasant Point Club, who scored 493, and West Eng Club (Timaru) also 493; with Featherston, Wellington South No. 1 and Brooklyn each with 492.
