REEFTON. March 22. Mrs Jas. Lawn, who has been on holiday has returned to Reefton.
Mr E. W. Spencer presided at the meeting of the Committee of the Reefton Jockey Club. The report of the caretaker was read and approved. The Reefton Rugby League Centre requested the use of the football ground on the same terms as last year, and it was resolved that the request be dealt with at the next monthly meeting. It was resolved that a lamb be presented to the A. and P. Association. Owing to the Grey Borough flections taking place on the day of the Club's Autumn meeting it was resolved that the Railway Department be asked to delay the train to allow’ electors to vote. Mr R. Wildermoth was struck by the handle of a windlass while at work at Big River Mine on Tuesday last. The handle flew off and Inflicted a wound on the bridge of the nose, several stitches being inserted by Dr. Wicken.
