Fine weather prevailed for the Auckland Trotting Club’s summer meeting, which was continued at Alexandra Park, Epsom, to-day. The track was fast. There was a good attendance. The tote handled £25,297A, compared with £17,998J on the corresponding day last year, an increase of £7,299, making a total for the two days of £56,0861. as against £53,024i last year, an in-

crease of £3,062. In the Champion Handicap, Roi ’L’Or created a Dominion grass track record, and Indianapolis’s time was a record for the Epsom track. The lastnamed horse was well driven by Smith in the run through in the home stretch, and clinched victory by a length, with Francis Lincoln second and Dan Direct a good third.
