(OUB OWN COBRBSPONMINT I REEFTON, November 15. The annual Proficiency examinations for the Inangahua District are being held at the Reefton’ District High School. Mr. J. B. Discacaiti, who has been in Canterbury, has returned. Mrs Scarlett, who has been spending a holiday with her daughter, Mrs Reed, at New Brighton, has returned. The annual meeting of the Reefton Branch of the W.C.T.U. was held in Wesley Hall. The annual report and balance-sheet were read and received, and the following officers elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mrs Waddell; vice-presidents, Mrs Thompson, Miss Watson; secretary, Mrs Gilmour; treasurer, Mrs Gilmour; Miss Watson read a paper on the work of women in America, for prohibition, and was accorded a vote of. thanks. Afternoon tea was served and the meeting was closed with the usual devotional exercises.
