The track is a trifle soft, and the attendance is large. Results: — DEBUTANTE STAKES 41 furlongs:-— (3) Legatee (K. Voitre) .. .. 1 (1) Severe (W. J. Broughton) .. 2 (2) Lady Ruler (C. Goldsbro) .. 3 All started. Won by a neck; a head. Time 52 1-5. Severe was bracketed with Entail. The Ashburton County Racing Club’s meeting is being held to-day, in fine weather. There is a large attendance, and the track is in good order. After considering the nominations, the Marlborough Racing Club, this morning, decided to postpone the races scheduled for the end of this month. Probably, a date in February w r ill be applied for.
