SYDNEY, September 4. Terrific seas continue along the New South Wales-Queensland coastline, delaying .shipping and forcing many vessels to shelter. Flooding is reported from a number of inland centres, and rivers in the coastal and inland areas are running bank high. Damage in Sydney was mostly of a minor character. It is learned that when the Montoro put into Brisbane, on Sunday night, she had six feet of water in the forward hold. The temporary repairs, made -in New Guinea after the vessel ran aground at Fortification Point, proved inadequate, when the Montoro struck the full force of the cyclone on the way down the coast, and a serious leak developed. LATER. The cyclone has now passed and the weather is showing distinct signs of brightening. Yesterday was the coldest in Sydney for ten years.
