At the Police Court, Charles Calloway, Wair'au Valley, farmer, 69, was charged with bigamy, evidence beinggiven that he married a widow named Elizabeth Hartley at Blenheim on September 9, 1922, and while she was still living went through a. form of marriage with Harriett Stephens-, also a widow, at Wellington, in April last. Accused pleaded not guilty, and was committed for trial, bail being allowed.
