Reed) 1; Hallmark 9.7 (Dempsey) 2; Farndale 7.2 (Moran) 3. Twelve started. Dermid led into the straight from Charleg Fox, Hallmark and Waltzing Lily. Sandringham Steeplefl. — Apache (N.Z.) 9.3 (Meredith) 1; Tabralong 9.11 (Bruton) 2; Mount Sanzar 11.7 (Dynon) 3. Ten started. Tabralong jumped the last fence four lengths ahead of Daqzar and Apache. The veteran New Zealander, Apache, in an exciting finish, got up to win by half a head, with Mount Danzar three lengths away third. Time 3.52. Melisande was unplaced in the Heatherlie. Handicap.
