[our own cobrespondent.] REEFTON, September 1. Dr. and Mrs J. L. Wicken, who have been on an extended holiday, returned to Reef ton on Thursday. Dr. Wicken takes charge of the Inangahua Hospital as superintendent. Mr and Mrs J. F. Wilson returned to Christchurch, to-day. Mr Allan Turner, of Crampton Road, Reeftou, who is a member of the Reefton League Football Club, received a cabled offer to-day from the York League Football Club. Mr Turner has accepted the position, and leaves for the Homeland at an early date. The Waratah junior team to meet Cronadun on Sunday comprises the following players: —Messrs Paterson, Cutbush (2), Gibellini, Bourke, Wildermoth, Bolitho, Day, Kearns, Bonifacio, Richdale, Johnston, McHenry, Taylor, Heslop, Murcott, Carr, Lemon, Honey, Cochrane. The death occurred at the Reefton Hospital on Friday morning, • after a long and painful illness, of Mr Charles A. Archer, of Mawheraiti. Deceased was 74 years of age, a native of Tasmania, but had been 70 years in New Zealand. He was married twice, and is survived by his widow.
