INCOME TAX.
[to the editob.] Sir.—l would like to find out through the fnedium of your correspondence columns whethei’ it is the common experience to receive another demand from the Income Tax Commissioner for income tax returns months after they have already been forwarded. It has been my experience these last two years, though not liable for tax. Must one go over the same gfourid oyer and over again with the threat of dire consequences over his head? Is there any way of proving one has already sent returns, and of avoiding the necessity of repeated searching of birth papers etc. for exemptions?. I am etc.,
