Lawsuits over the Rasputin film, which had been pending throughout the world, have been settled out of court. This is announced by Miss Fanny Holtzman, an American lawyer, representing Princess Youssoupoff. The terms include the Metro-Gold-wyn-Mayer Company paying the largest libel damages ever reported, exceeding £lOO,OOO, and also apologising to . Princess Youssoupoff, and making it publicly known that the character “Natasha” in the film is purely fictional.

According to “The People,” Princess Youssoupoff has received from Goldwyn Mayer’s £30,000 plus £25,000, awarded as damages, in settlement of all claims respecting the Rasputin film.
