WAIUTA NOTES

[OUB OWN COBBESPONDENT.] Mrs T. Broderick (Wellington) is visiting Waiuta. Messrs J. McMaster and A. Hughes (Greymouth) were visitors to Waiuta on Tuesday. A number of local residents are confined to their beds suffering from the ’flu, which has been prevalent since the recent spell of cold weather. The school was closed on Friday and again on Monday, but has resumed with a normal attendance. A fairly large number of men are absent from work suffering from this malady.
