The Commons will rise for the Easter recess on March 29, and reassemble on April 9. The Chancellor 1 of the Exchequer will present the budget in the Commons oh April 18.

LONDON, March 16.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr Neville Chamberlain, answering a question in the House of Commons, stated that he estimated the savings of the people of the United Kingdom aggregated 2492 millions sterling.
