THE PICNIC SEASON.
In readiness for the picnic season, the Railway Department has issued a new series of a booklet, “Picnics by Rail,” which is distributed free. The publication gives details of concessions in fares and complete information of the picnic grounds available in the principal districts. Railway officers, thoroughly experienced in the planning of picnics, will be pleased to give their services free for the organisation of these cheap excursions.
