RIFLE-SHOOTING

GREY DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. The third competition for Secretary M. Garth’s trophy was concluded on Saturday last, Riflemen H. Henry and M. Garth being top scorers, with a total of 99. The following are leading, while Rifleman C. Richardson has still one more shoot to count. Rifleman S. Davy 294, Rifleman H. Henry 293, Rifleman C. Richardson 289. The following were the leading scores:, conditions seven shots at 300yds, 500 yards, and 600 yards: —

The first shoot for Mr G. Smith’s trophy was concluded yesterday, in showery weather. Rifleman J. Nimmo put on top score, with 97 points. Conditions of the match are two shoots of seven shots at each range, both shoots to count; handicap limit 97pts. The following were the scores: —
