The returning officer, Mr Cadvert, has made the declaration of the result of the ballot for the election of the first fifteen members of the new Upper House. The position now is that there will not be a recount unless ordered by the Equity Court. EXPORT OF EGGS. SYDNEY, November 7. Eggs exported from the Commonwealth to the United Kingdom, from July 1 to October 28, totalled 13,017,000 dozen, being an' increase of 2,157,000 dozen over the corresponding period in the previous year. Fifteen thousand six hundred and sixty dozen were exported to other destinations;
