Feltham (the King’s Prize winner) also won the grand aggregate with a score of 630 points out of a possible 655, thus losing less than two points per range for the whole meeting.

' Keen racing was witnessed on Saturday when the annual Redding Shield Rowing Regatta was held. Petone retained the Shield, the final points (calculating on the basis of five for first place, and two for second) being:— Petone 19A, Star 131, Wellington 9. CROQUET. Despite the inclement weather on Saturday, the Haeremai Croquet Club opened the playing season. The Mayor (Mr R. McTaggart) declared the green open. Mrs Ericksen (president) played the first ball. On behalf of the committee, Mrs Braithwaite presented bouquets of tulips to Mrs Ericksen, and to Mr McTaggart for Mrs McTaggart, who was unavoidably unable to be present. Apologies were received from Mesdames McTaggart, Wilson, and Howard for their absence. Tea was served in the pavilion, and a pleastnt afternoon was septn in games and community singing. Among the visitors present were Mrs' Mclvor (Wellington) and Mrs Curtis, both croquet enthusiasts.
