ANGLO-FINNISH TRADE. [BY CABLE —PBESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] LONDON. August 11. Britain has concluded a new trading pate with Finland. It is on the lines of those treaties she has made with Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the Argentine. Under the treaty it is expected that Finland will buy a higher percentage of coal, iron and steel from Britain. FRENCH CHILD-MARRIAGE. PARIS, August 11. By a Special Presidential decree, Henri Pintiano, aged 17 years, marries immediately Adrienne Delamarre, aged 12 years. This is the first case of an authorised child-marriage in France for many years. CANADIAN CROPS OTTAWA, August 10. The Bureau of Statistics to-day, reported that the acreage in the three provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta has this year declined 1,218,000 acres from the 1932 figures, a reduction of 4.5 per cent. The oat acreage has increased by 412,000 acres or by 4.S per cent. The barley acreage has decreased 3.9 per cent.; rye lias decreased 26 per cent.; and flax seed 47 per cent. The wheat acreage is this year 25,177,000 acres, compared to 26,395,000 last year. WINNIPEG, August 11. A wheat crop of 275 million bushels in Western Canada is indicated in the reports received by the Searle Grain Company, whose preliminary estimates. based on official acreage figures, were released at Ottawa, yesterday. SHOOTING SEASON RUGBY, August 10. Heavy traffic is being carried by rail from London to Scotland for the opening of the grouse shooting season on Saturday, and heavy additions to the normal service have been arranged. A special feature of the traffic, is the large number of motor cars being conveyed to the north by trains. U.S.A. WOOL TRADE NEW YORK, August 11. The representatives of the wool trade, meeting at Boston, agreed to a fifteen dollar minimum wage and also to a forty hour week. The American Woollen Company report shows a profit of 197,000 dollar for its six months ending June 30 last. This is the first profit shown for six years.
