FRONTIER UNREST. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] DELHI, July 29. The officers attached to frontier units stationed in Peshawar have been recalled from leave owing to the authorities making preparations to dispatch a force to Bajaur, where the Khan of Kar is, supposedly, sheltering three agitators, who are suspected of stirring up trouble among tribes. The Khan of Kar declares that the suspects are in British territory. SERIOUS AFFAIR DEVELOPING? RUGBY, July 30. Owing to the disturbed situation on the north-west frontier of India, a column of four thousand troops is expected to leave Peshawar, to-mor-row, and proceed along the Gandao Valley to support the chief of the loyal Halimzais tribes against possible further incursion into their territory, by the turbulent Upper Mohmands. A cavalry regiment' and a section of armoured cars will stand by the Peshawar Road.
The Government, meanwhile, is awaiting the surrender of the agitators, who are attempting to disturb the border peace, and are sheltered by the Bajaur tribe further north. Further measures may be necessary to enforce compliance with the Government’s demand for the surrender of these agitators.
