SOCCER. At Victoria Park, yesterday, Marist School Seniors defeated Grey Main Seniors by 3 goals to 1. Mulqueen (a penalty), McGirr, and Pascoe scored for Marist, and Mclntosh scored, for Grey Main. Keating and Zambesi were the best of the Marist backs, and Mulqueen, McGirr, and Knapp of the forwards. The most prominent of the Grey Main team were: Olsen and McHugh (in the backs) and Davis, Dittman and Mclntosh (in the forwards). Mr H. de Freatus was referee. In a schools’ junior match played at the Park, Grey Main and Runanga drew, 2 goals all. Paton and Bellis scored for Grey Main, and Dalzell scored both goals for Runanga. Mr B. Jones was referee.
