At a meeting on Thursday of directors of Golden Sands, Limited, a report was received from the mine manager. The report states that, taking advantage of a good spell in the weather, the water at the claim was tui'nec off from June 10 to June 20, and the men effected sundry necessary repairs. They had been waiting tor a favourable opportunity to overhaul the pipeline and plant, and now that the necessary overhaul has been completed there should be no further stoipages for a considerable time. i view of this stoppage the usual foitnightly wash-up was not done, but the next return will be made at the end of this week. CHRISTCHURCH, July 3. The Golden Sands report gives 37 ounces 4 dwts as the return for 40 shifts.
