WEDDING

ANDERSON—TENNENT. The wedding was solemnised yesterday afternoon in St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Greymouth, of Jean Lachlan, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs John Tennent, Nelson Street, Karoro, and Louis Francis, second eldest son of Mr and the late Mrs L. L. Anderson, of Ward Street, Cobden. The Rev. H. R. Fell officiated. Mr R. B. Tennent, brother of the bride, presided at the organ, the service being fully choral, Miss L. Lopdell giving a beautiful rendering of “My Prayer.” The Church was tastefully decorated for the occasion by friends of the bride and bridegroom. On leaving the church the newly-married couple passed through an arch of blue and gold streamers, formed by Bible class members. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore an ankle-length frock of ivory satin beaute, made on fitting lines with yoke of angel-skin lace and coatee, with fully puffed sleeves; her embroidered tulle veil fell from a circlet of orange blossoms. She carried an armlet of lilies and asters am/Scotch heather. Miss Marion Tonbent, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and -wore an ankle-length frock of pale pink georgette and lace, coatee to ■match with three flares of lace and georgette forming a puff at the shoulders, and her bouquet was of dahlias and asters. Little Vina Harrison, as flower girl, wore a long frock of pale green crepe-de-chene, and a Dutch cap of gold lace, and carried a Victorian posie of pale pink asters, tied with tulle to match. Mr Gordon Anderson, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Later, a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents. Mrs Tennent received the guests, wearing a becoming frock of navy blue crepe Romaine, and carrying a. bouquet of Autumn tinted flowers. When Mr and Mrs Anderson left for the wedding tour, the bride was wearing a blue marocain frock, under a coat of the same toning with a musquash fur collar, her small hat being of blue felt, with a smart eye-veil.
