ASIATIC FLOODS
MANCHURIA’S 30,000 DEAD. [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] (Recd. August 12, 10 a.m.) TOKIO, August 11. Latest advices state that the Sungari has risen 25 feet. It is believed that 30,000 are dead, 25,000,000 acres are inundated, and villages are sub merged. A small part of Harbin City is above the water.’ Crops in the entire region have been destroyed.

CALCUTTA, August 11.
The heavy Burmah floods continue. The Rangoon-Mandalay railway was swept away in five places, one gap being 400 feet. A portion of Pegu and other towns, and thousands of acres of agricultural land are submerged. Livestock have been drowned. Floods are also threatening to sever communications in Baluchistan and North-west frontier districts. Barriers have been hastily constructed to save towns and villages from destruction.
