CALCUTTA, August 11.

The heavy Burmah floods continue. The Rangoon-Mandalay railway was swept away in five places, one gap being 400 feet. A portion of Pegu and other towns, and thousands of acres of agricultural land are submerged. Livestock have been drowned. Floods are also threatening to sever communications in Baluchistan and North-west frontier districts. Barriers have been hastily constructed to save towns and villages from destruction.
