HOKITIKA, June 27. The funeral of the late' Miss C. Mulvihill took place on Saturday afternoon, and although heavy rain prevailed, a large number of friends attended, particularly from Kumara, Requiem Mass was said in the morning. A motor collision occurred in Revell Street early on Saturday evening, when a seven sea ter Hupmobile driven by a young man named Dudley xxerr collided with a Baby Austin driven by his father, Mr James Kerr.' The accident occurred about midway between Lloyd’s corner and the Dominion Hotel. The lad, who was proceeding round the corner and sou.lxx to the garage is said to have been dazzled by the light of a stapnery car, and not noticing his father approaching in the small car in the opposite direction, collided, with him. The small cur was very badly damaged, and Mr Kerr slightly injured. He afterwards essayed to walk home and when nearly there collapsed on the road, where he was found shortly after by a neighbour who assisted him home. He was much better yesterday. . The son escaped injury and the car he was driving only slightly damaged. The small car is the property of Mr Fred Pamment, an employee of the firm.
