DEBATE IN COMMONS. [BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.] RUGBY, June 24. Interest attaches to Monday’s debate on India in the House of Commons, for on the administration side the six months period for the Government’s ordinances is about to lapse, and, on tho constitutional side, various committees of the Indian Round Table Conference have now completed their work. It is expected that Sir Samuel Hoara (Secretary for India) will review the present stage of development of the Government’s dual policy, this policy, providing for the maintenance of the prestige of the Indian Government and for the enforcing of law and order for a constitutional advance oq the lines of an All India Federation, set out by the Government early in December.
MURDERER SENTENCED CALCUTTA, June 25. Kumar Bhattacharjee, a young Hindu, has been sentenced to death by a special tribunal composed of three Hindus, in connection with the mub der of Douglas, the Midnapore Magistrate on May 1.
