ABDUCTION OF GIRLS
TRAVELLER SENTENCED,

NAPIER, April 12. Percy William Roberts, of New Plymouth, convicted of abducting a girl under the age o£ 18 years, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. Accused collapsed on hearing the sentence.
The Magistrate said that Roberts was apparently in the habit of pursuing girls just over the age of consent. That behaviour would have to be stopped. Security for appeal was fixed at £lO 10s.
