EUGENIA BANKHEAD’S .RECORD.

PARIS, February 24

Miss Eugenia Bankhead, sister of Miss Tallulah Bankhead, the actress, has just arrived at Nice after a hurried journey of 7000 miles from Alabama. She was 'journeying to the side of her first husband, Mr. Morton M. Hoyt, who ha<s been sereiously ill, and to whom it is reported she may be married for the third time. Miss Bankhead was married to Mr. Hoyt in 1920, when they were both under 20 years of age. The marriage follower an’ attempt y Mr. Hoyt to jump from the ninth floor of a New York hotel to prove his devotion. They were divorced at Reno, but remarried, only to be divorced once more. After their first quarrel Mr. Hoytjumped into New York Harbour from a liner, but was rescued. Less than two years ago Miss Bankhead married Mr. William Lawson Butt, <1 Nevada football player, but divorced him on the ground that his own divorce from his first wife was not final when the marriage took place. 1 Next day she was wedded to Mr. Howard, Lee, whom she subsequently divorced at Reno on the ground that she “could not respect him.” *

A free woman once more, she is now said to be considering the possibility of becoming Mrs. Hoyt again.
